Mr. Thomas Ng, currently 61 years old, obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1987 and his Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) in 1988, both from the University of Hong Kong. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Laws from the University College London, England in 1989.

Mr. Ng was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1992 and has been working at Iu, Lai & Li Solicitors and Notaries since then; and in 1994, he became a partner of the firm. He specializes in Hong Kong securities law, company law, commercial law, conveyancing law, wealth management, trust, cross-border investment and business services in the People’s Republic of China (“PRC”).

Apart from projects concerning Hong Kong Initial Public Offerings, Mr. Ng has been involved in projects concerning business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and direct investments for both listed and private companies in Hong Kong and the PRC. He has extensive experience in negotiation, designing transaction structures and documents, corporate finance, compliance and dispute resolution and mediation.

Since the 1990s, Mr. Ng has been actively involved in numerous foreign investment projects in the PRC, gaining extensive experience in initiating and managing restructuring schemes. Mr. Ng has frequently represented domestic businesses in the PRC in their overseas investment ventures and development projects. His expertise includes, but is not limited to, facilitating H shares and red chip stocks initial public offerings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
